My Contract and Promises is with you — the people of St. Paul’s

St. Paul’s is our home, our community, and Toronto is our City.

Years ago, Sir Peter Ustinov called Toronto: “A kind of New York operated by the Swiss.” This is no longer the case.

We are currently governed Provincially and Municipally by elected officials and their parties, who only serve themselves and their friends with insider connections.

I have a vision of St. Paul’s becoming a model community where we are proud to live, and where our interests are looked after. We all have a shared stake in what is best for this community and city. We have a thriving, exciting and diverse neighbourhood that offers something for everyone and, just as important, a strong small and medium sized business-base that continues to grow and prosper among us.

“Back to Basics — Back to the Future”

Putting the interests of the constituents of St. Paul’s first and foremost is my primary objective.

As your representative for St. Paul’s, I will:

  • demand improved accountability and transparency;
  • always be available to see you personally, during and after the election, anytime you call;
  • establish bi-monthly Town Hall Meetings, and make sure that my office is open for you one weekend every month;
  • work tirelessly on your behalf, as we build a strong and vibrant future together;
  • be devoted to the protection of the interests of St. Paul’s on the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels;
  • be a strong spokesperson for this riding;
  • make our Ward liveable and our streets safe, where all citizens can go about their business without fear of being stabbed, shot, robbed, or mugged;
  • ensure that our garbage is picked up and the snow is cleared from our streets in a timely fashion, no matter what area of the Ward we might live in;
  • do my best to help establish an efficient, effective, fast, safe and accessible transportation system throughout the Ward and the GTA, reducing administration expenses and user costs;
  • work towards bringing our aging school facilities up to today’s standards, and ensure that we get maximum use of the buildings for our tax dollars, by partnering with all of our community stakeholders.

I promise you, the people of St. Paul’s, that Council will show leadership in being environmentally responsible and cost effective in the changes we implement – changes that will work in the real world.

Ward 21, St. Paul’s: let us all invest in our Ward, our Community, our City, and our people — “Back to Basics — Back to the Future!”
